The comparatively young holiday resort of Verbier is located in the south western corner of the Valais, close to France and Italy. There are breath-taking views towards the Combin Massif and Mont Blanc from the sunny plateau at an altitude of 1500 m. In winter the region becomes one of the biggest ski resorts in Switzerland.
Vercorin (Valais)
Vercorin's position on a plateau high above Sierre in the Rhone valley reminds you of an eagle's eyrie. This holiday resort in the Valais, between the conservation area of the Réchytal and the entrance to the Val d'Anniviers, is famous for its climate, so mild that you can even see cherry trees in bloom. In winter there are 35 km of prepared slopes on the Crêt du Midi.

Veysonnaz is a mountain village typical of the Valais canton, situated on a slope above Sion, with beautiful views over the Rhone valley and to the Bernese Alps. The hiking area extends right up to the high peaks of the Valais Alps. In winter, Veysonnaz forms part of the "Four Valleys" skiing area, with over 400 km of prepared slopes.
