Lenk-Simmental

Built on tradition: At the far end of the Simmental, in one of the most beautiful valley heads in the Alps, lies the resort of Lenk. The typical Simmental chalets, along with the local traditions – very much alive here – give the village an unmistakable charm.
As well as the manageable family ski area, and the direct link to the attractive pistes over in Adelboden, Lenk offers an enticing network of trails through the fairy-tale, snow-covered landscape: 77 km of cross-country ski routes, 74 km of footpaths (both night and day walks), and snowshoeing tours lasting up to seven days.

Top tip

As the ski circus arrives in Adelboden for the World Cup, a circus of a very different kind comes to Lenk: Das Zelt (“The Tent”), Switzerland’s comedy show, visits the Bernese Oberland for the third time in January 2009.

How to get there

Public Transport: By train you can travel comfortably via Bern-Spiez-Zweisimmen, or by MOB via Montreux-Zweisimmen to our destination, i.e., Lenk-Simmental.
By car: Autobahn Bern A6, exit Wimmis/Zweisimmen; from Bern it is 40 km to the entrance to the Simmental valley, and 90 km up to Lenk .
