Three alps, one lift pass
At the heart of this region lies the incomparable Aletsch glacier: at more than 23 km, the longest ice flow in the Alps. The most impressive views of this 27-billion-ton wonder are from the Eggishorn – which is also where the most challenging pistes lie. Bettmeralp is the middle of the three connected and car-free resorts; even in the delightful heart of the village, you can ski or snowboard from the piste up to your chalet door. Guests in Riederalp, meanwhile, are well placed for discovering the region's culture and nature, even in winter. Thanks to several gentle slopes, it is particularly well suited to families. In all, Aletsch has 99 km of piste – and thanks to snowmaking facilities, the entire area is snowsure all season.
