Cool pistes, hot springs:
There’s no shortage of excellent
reasons to visit the Heidiland holiday
region in winter.
Such as the fast
train connections from Zürich: in
next to no time you can join the powderhounds
up on the Flumserberg,
or be relishing the family-friendly ski
area of Pizol. And when your legs are
really burning, it’s just a gondola ride
to the popular thermal baths of Bad
Ragaz: tired muscles are soon revived,
so you’re fit again for the following
day – and the next happy discovery
in surprise-filled Heidiland.
Top tip
The ultimate in romance, whether
for couples newly in love, or for
families of four: a 20-minute ride
by dog sled through the wonderful
landscape of the Madils plateau on
the Flumserberg.
